The Bob Bowman Trio!

Bob Bowman, a native Kansan, learned to play piano and clarinet, before learning bass at age twelve. Bob has explored jazz scenes on both coasts of the USA and toured the world with heavy hitters The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, the Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabakin Big Band, and singer Carmen McRae, prior to settling down in Kansas City in the late ‘80s. Bob currently lives in Montana playing music and enjoying the year-round, beautiful countryside. He travels to the Midwest every two-three months to perform and record. He says, “The very deep jazz history and great musicians of Kansas City keep me coming back!"
